Stripe revenue attribution
Connect Stripe once to see completed purchases and their product names in the selected TypeUI Insights website.
Connect Stripe
Open revenue attribution
Open the verified website in TypeUI Insights, go to Settings → Revenue attribution, and choose Stripe.
Create a restricted key
In Stripe, open Developers → API keys and create a new restricted key specifically for TypeUI.
Set these permissions to Read:
- Checkout Sessions
- Invoices
Those are the only permissions TypeUI needs. Copy the Restricted Key you just created. Do not copy your publishable key or an existing account secret key.
Connect and sync
Paste the Restricted Key into TypeUI and choose Connect Stripe. TypeUI checks the read permissions, encrypts the key, and loads your first purchases.
When connected, use Sync now for an immediate refresh, Replace key after rotating the credential, or Disconnect to remove the connection and its synced Stripe orders from this website.
What TypeUI reads
TypeUI reads completed Checkout Sessions and paid Invoices, including the product names shown in the revenue dashboard.
Only confirmed positive-value purchases appear in revenue totals. Customer profiles, card information, and billing addresses are not added to Insights.
Session attribution
All synced Stripe purchases contribute to revenue and order counts. When a purchase includes a TypeUI session reference, Insights can also match it to the anonymous session and page that led to the order. Purchases still appear when no session match is available.
Troubleshooting
- If Stripe rejects the key, confirm it is the complete new Restricted Key and is still active.
- If TypeUI reports missing permissions, set Checkout Sessions and Invoices to Read on that restricted key.
- If product names are missing, confirm the Checkout Session or Invoice contains named line items.
- If an order was just created, choose Sync now or allow the scheduled sync to run.
