Revenue attribution

Connect a payment provider to see confirmed orders and revenue beside sessions, pageviews, campaigns, events, and visitor journeys. Setup takes only a few minutes for each verified website.

How it works

  1. Open the verified website in TypeUI Insights and go to Settings → Revenue attribution.
  2. Create a new provider credential with only the read permissions listed in its guide.
  3. Paste that credential into TypeUI and connect the provider.
  4. TypeUI checks the credential, encrypts it, and loads your first orders.
  5. New orders are refreshed automatically. You can also choose Sync now whenever you want an immediate update.

TypeUI reads only what the revenue dashboard needs: provider, amount, currency, order status, purchase date, and product name. Customer names, email addresses, billing addresses, and payment details are not added to Insights.

What appears in Insights

Revenue is available across the website dashboard, revenue chart, order list, website overview, and optional read-only shared dashboards. The selected analytics date range applies to revenue just like it does to traffic.

  • The total combines positive confirmed orders from every connected provider.
  • The revenue card can show all orders or one provider at a time.
  • Each order includes its provider, product name, and original amount and currency.
  • Chart totals use USD as the default display currency when a current exchange rate is available, while the order list keeps the provider currency visible.

Every synced order contributes to order counts and revenue totals. When a purchase can be matched to an anonymous TypeUI session, it also appears in the related visitor journey.

Keep your connection secure

Create a separate read-only credential for TypeUI and grant only the permission shown in the provider guide. TypeUI encrypts the credential and uses it only to refresh revenue data for the website you connect.

Only workspace editors can manage the connection. You can replace the credential after rotating it, or disconnect the provider at any time. You remain responsible for the permissions granted in your payment-provider account.

Shared dashboards

Revenue is excluded from shared dashboards by default. A website editor must explicitly enable Revenue in Analytics visibility. Shared dashboards remain read-only and never reveal provider credentials or customer payment details.
