Polar revenue attribution

Connect Polar once to see confirmed orders and product names in the selected TypeUI Insights website.

Connect Polar

Open revenue attribution

Open the verified website in TypeUI Insights, go to Settings → Revenue attribution, and choose Polar.

Create a read-only token

In Polar, open Settings → General → Developers and create an Organization Access Token. Enable only orders:read, then copy the newly created token.

Open Polar's Organization Access Token guide

Connect and sync

Paste the Organization Access Token into TypeUI and choose Connect Polar. TypeUI checks the read permission, encrypts the token, and loads your first orders.

When connected, use Sync now for an immediate refresh, Replace key after rotating the token, or Disconnect to remove the connection and its synced Polar orders from this website.

What TypeUI reads

TypeUI reads the amount, currency, status, purchase date, and product name needed by the revenue dashboard. Order changes are reflected during later syncs.

Only positive order value appears in revenue totals. Customer names, email addresses, billing addresses, and payment details are not added to Insights.

Session attribution

All synced Polar orders contribute to revenue and order counts. When a purchase includes a TypeUI session reference, Insights can also match it to the anonymous session and page that led to the order. Orders still appear when no session match is available.

Troubleshooting

  • If Polar rejects the token, confirm it is the complete Organization Access Token, active, unexpired, and created for the correct organization.
  • If TypeUI reports missing order access, recreate the token with only orders:read enabled.
  • If product names are missing, confirm the Polar product or price attached to the order has a name.
  • If an order was just created, choose Sync now or allow the scheduled sync to run.

See the Revenue attribution overview for syncing, security, currencies, and shared-dashboard behavior.
